Global health encompasses the interconnected health issues faced by populations worldwide. This article explores two major challenges: infectious diseases and poverty. It examines their interconnected nature, highlighting how poverty fuels the spread and impact of infectious diseases, while infectious diseases perpetuate poverty cycles. The article then discusses ongoing efforts and approaches to address these challenges, including vaccination programs, improved sanitation and hygiene, and economic development initiatives. Finally, it emphasizes the need for collaborative, multi-sectoral solutions that address both poverty and infectious diseases simultaneously, advocating for a holistic approach to global health progress.
